As a freelance fiction manuscript editor since 2007, Jodie specializes in thrillers, romantic suspense, mysteries, and other fast-paced, popular fiction. She also edits historical fiction, some fantasies, YA, and middle-grade fiction, and some nonfiction (health, nutrition, wellness, self-help, women’s issues, social issues), and will rewrite self-help and health and wellness books.

Her novelist clients are mainly in the U.S., but also in other countries around the world. For more on Jodie’s editing process, please go to the editing page. Jodie has had a lifelong passion for reading, especially fiction. She worked at a variety of jobs before she became an English and French teacher (mainly grades 5 & 6), received her master’s degree in literature, and became a school librarian. Somewhere in there, Jodie traveled to a lot of different countries, got married and unmarried, raised two sons, and moved thousands of miles – twice. A Canadian, Jodie has traveled extensively and lived in various locations across Canada. She’s happy to have returned to beautiful British Columbia, where she now makes her home in Kelowna, a tourist city in the gorgeous Okanagan Valley.

When she’s not editing, writing, reading, or spending time with family and friends, Jodie loves to pursue her three other passions, dancing, photography, and traveling.
